Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via the trumpet. Then, she started studying classical music and hip hop. While at school, she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. After making headlines through the Internet the single My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also had songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour in NYC Bitche$. This track was also used in Awkwafina's NYC tour guide that was released in 2015. In addition to being a writer and musician on her resume she determined to pursue the role of a third-party actor. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she has also appeared in films like Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of prominent films such as Dude ocean's 8.8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
